Are diet sodas deceitful?

I was reading an article the other day about how diet sodas may make you gain weight. Even though they are promoted as having no calories, a study showed that the artificial sweeteners these drinks have are the culprit of weight gain. The cause of this would be that diet drinks alter your metabolic limit, the chemistry of your brain, so when you have one these drinks, it may cause you to overeat.

Nowadays there are a lot of artificial sweeteners in our food; there is a huge range of diet products that are thought to be healthier, but in reality, we rarely look at their components to see what we are consuming. The issue states when there are side effects that are unacknowledged, and we keep on buying this kind of food thinking that we are doing something right to our body.

The truth is that we should choose products that are natural, the more close they are to their natural state, the healthier they are. So if you have a craving for sugar, it is better to go for fruit, instead of sugary soda, or even a diet one. In my opinion, the clue is consuming all kinds of food but in right amounts, and practicing some sport regularly.

Which kinds of food do you usually buy? Diet or regular?
Must these products be prohibited? Or is it in our will to choose correctly?
